[T:V] Grappling hook curiosity

I watched the demo with the grappling hook which looked pretty cool but was wondering:

1) Can the grappling hook line bend around objects (if so will it act as a sling shot effect)?

2) Can the grappling line actually be shot wehter by disk or sniper rifle (and will it break or disengage upon that circumstance)?


Just curious. Looking forward to playing with that soon :)

I believe they said that there was a small area at the end of the grappling hook that wouldn't break if it clipped through anything.

Anything touching the cable will break the cable. Fly thru somebody's cable and it will detach. String your cable thru a tree and it will detach. Clip the ground with the cable and it will detach. Only the very end of the cable (about 1 meter at the hook-end) is immune to that (so that you don't have to hit exactly at the corner of a building.

Note that this means that grappling anything thin, such as a pole or cable, will allow you to do full 180's.
