[T1] Help on gui's.

I was looking threw a couple of the old forums and I came across a question I was going to answer…

I've tried to follow along with some of FSB-Spy's tutorials and I'm having a really hard go with it. :\

Is there any way to make the ChatHUD 100% transparent, (so all that you see is the text) by using a script?

Well I did that and it would only show just the text in a 3 line size and I can’t move the Chat Hud. So can anyone help me with this.

The method dutchy posted was to put your ChatHUD in Commander mode, that means 3 line of text with a completely transparent background.

You are complaining about only having 3 lines, and not being able to move the HUD. I am guessing you want something larger, here is what you can do.

Press U, or whatever key bound to resizing ChatHUD, it'll expand it to 5 lines, but the background will come back. This is when you should move it to your preferred location while you can. Use the K key, then click and drag your ChatHUD.

Now you will probably want to remove the nasty translucent grey background. You can hex edit it manually if you wish, or you may use Andrew's PPL generator.

Hud Background is the part you should be editing on that page. It will apply the changes to every HUD you have that has a background of some sort. Becareful of the changes. The RGB values obviously change the color of the background, or whatever you are editing. The alpha value allows you to set the opacity of the color. Since you want it to be transparent, put 0 for the value. You will then have a 5 line transparent ChatHUD.

The RGB values don't matter when you have an alpha of 0. 255 will have an opaque color, some value between 0 and 255 will have something translucent.

You can play around with all the things on the page, and generate the .ppl's. Put the file in your skins folder.

1. Make chatHUD as big as you want.
2. Move chatHUD whereever you want.
3. Download Evita's Patcher GUI (http://scripts.tribalwar.com/evita/t1/tools/patchergui.zip) and apply transchat option.

meh i tryed that program and it comes up with some gay error: A required .DLL file, MSVBVM60.DLL, was not found. This comes up when i double click on patchergui.exe

/fixed, dl'ed it off net, dumbass.. :/
