LTB: Sprint Sanyo flip phone

My Sanyo 4900 is getting on my nerves, and is trashed to hell. Its time for a new cell phone, but Sprint lists my availability for rebate as having another 3 months until its active (only get one every 18 months).

eBay doesn't have a lot to offer. I would LOVE to get a SCP-5500/VM-4500, or the lesser SCP-5400. Or if anyone has recently bought the PM-8200 Silver or Midnight Blue, I'm also looking at those.

badass phone all around

has readlink capability and a sweet speakerphone

only thing it lacks is a camera, but who the fuck cares

Two problems with it

1) It has a TINY battery life even while inactive

2) Same as buying any other new phone, I can't get the $150 rebate until August which means it'd set me back almost $300. No thanks!

i've had great battery life experience with that phone, and it's only 180 brand new without the rebate at local radio shack

i'm comparing the battery life to my old LG pos phone though, so I dont know.

Same as elsewhere, only way you get the phones that cheap are with activation of a new plan. Which again, I can't do until August.

So back to hoping someone's selling their old cell?
