50 yard sprint then a 50 yard jog repeat for 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50 times whichever you like.
Work on your running technique more then beating your prescribed time. The only thing that should be getting a workout are your legs and your lungs. Keep your fists unclenched and your elbows slightly bent. On a hard track remember to land on your heal then to your middle foot to the ball in one fluid motion, if you can hear your feet you're running flat-footed. If you're really looking for some fun, go run in hard packed sand by the surf.

i always like running (back when i used to run regular) with my arms loose...barely bent at the elbow. in the military they used to teach people to 'pull' when they run...move your hands and arms like you're grasping a rope and pulling yourself along

Yeah.. I quit about 4 days ago.. I'm feeling a lot more energetic now 'n stuff, and I want to start running again, but I still feel a lot of the shit inside my lungs.
you'll start smoking again soon. you know you will.
i've managed to not smoke now for almost 2 months and its hard to not want to smoke, especially being in places i normally would smoke.

probably will for a while. running will help you clear it out, but you'll still do a lot of coughing to get that shit out of your chest. i keep hearing the average time is like 2 weeks or so after you quit to get the biggest part of it out. hang it there, you'll do it
