You know a company is doing VERY well financially when they stop giving a crap about the people the put them where they are.

When they handicap something you payed for rendering it useless, without even warning you, it's a good sign this is the case. When it goes on for several days and they don't even bother to tell the community wth is going on, it's proof as far as I'm concerned.

We all know in this day and age that servers can be moved across the world much less the nation with little or no downtime. Of course this could just be a blatently flailing example of utter imcompetance.

This is stupid. You guys are days away from the free release of Tribes 2 which i am assuming you are doing to try and draw more people into buying T:V. Not only have the authentication servers been down for 5 days there is zero communication the community about when they will be back. The re-release that we hoped would bring some more people in is going to be a debacle and you are burning your current fan base at the same time.


What confidence are we meant to have in Sierra/VU, why should be not think that Vengeance will we handled in the same poor manner? Give us a reason to trust you because i am rapidly losing faith in anything associated with Sierra.

PEN Classic, Server UP 21 players - 69.56.135.94:28005
Branzone, Server UP, 0 players - 69.93.235.133:28000
LAK, Server UP, 0 players - 63.175.16.92:28001
Mofo's, Not in LAN Mode - 63.247.84.206:28004
MA Classic, Server DOWN - 66.28.14.59:29043

Just start up the game with everything but that in the shortcut and go to the join game screen and hit insert. It pops up a little dialog to enter an IP so the server will show up in your list. That way you can check out multiple servers with just 1 shortcut and decide which one you want.

Some may be up or down.

You do have to love this lack of communication about the servers.

They wanted to accurately simulate the "Full Experience" of T2 for the newbies. First day, anyone? :D

You got that right Dan. Was there a reason I missed anywhere on here about why the servers are not working in the first place? And why they would be down for sooo long?

So not only did Sierra bodge the release of the game, their now gonna screw up the re-release.

It sounds like we need to be calling Vivendi Universal with our complaints from what Thrax is saying, too bad they don't have the Java Chat Clients like that RackSpace site does.....Boy we could have some fun with that one...

It sure would make a great impression if when peeps go to dl t2 and try to go online they get the "asfdas23lkj42klnfalkjn23l n3r2l;kjn3r2" error message we're all getting atm.

why dont they just turn the stupid thing off and leave them down...considering its going to be released free anyways.
