I dunno, I'd almost leave it as Speed Pack, considering the names of the others. Energy Pack = energy boost, Repair Pack = repair things, Shield Pack = get a shield. So Speed Pack = more speed.

And probably just Repair Turret like afex said.

Swift Pack
Accel Pack

I think that 'Repair Turret' is fine to.

why the hell are you people making long long names for these things... anything longer than 3 sylables is just too long. Imagine being on TS or ventrillo and saying like, omg get a quadular speed multiplier pack, oh and be sure to get a rejuvinator health node turret too. i mean wtf... Make it something quick and easy.

Kinetic Pack gets my vote....

and as i posted in the other thread.

the repair thingy should be named according to it's look. If it looks like a turret then call it a repair turret, if it looks somewhat like a beacon, call it a repair beacon, if it looks like t1 style sensor jammer, call it a spike.

Bawls Pack <- :D

The Speed Pack's name CANNOT start with S. The entire point of remaning it is so that it will not interfering with the Shield Pack when saying abbreviations. SP is Shield Pack, the Speed Pack needs to be something else.

Just be glad you don't work communications for the military... You'd hate the phonetic alphabet with a passion... ;)

Quick pack or Kinetic Pack

Mender

(I still like Spaz Pack and Lovebuster but alas; they're too cartoonish.)

Dude, no one says "grab an Electro-Magnetic Flux Gun!" We say "get an ELF." Acronyms are win.

Now that's some classic textbook condescension Vermouth. :]
yeah.. i'm a bastard

but i call it like i see it. i don't know anyone even decent that referred to them in terms other than light/med/heavy.

Oh, I know. Thankfully they call them light medium and heavy in T:V. Juggernaught has to be the corniest name in Tribes 2.

I still like the name "Repair Node" that I came up with in the round up thread. Yet, it just simply depends on how that object looks in game and how it repairs.

this really reminds me of how they "renamed" all the armors in T2.
e.g.

heavy - juggernaut
medium - assault
light - scout

(or whatever) see, with they new names they were more dynamic and exciting.

only morons called them by the new names.

<Charon> who is playing Juggernaut Offense tonight?

Gonna repost in TT so everyone can see and support me (except special):

For the repair turret how about?

DART - Deployable Automated Repair Turret

1. It adequately describes the function of the deployable.
2. Everything in military operations are abbreviations and acronyms.
3. It's easy to say and hear on Ts2/Vent: "Go deploy some Darts by the HoF"

"Dart the gens" or "Dart our Flag area" would also probably be easy to say.
