Disliking the beta?

Well, at least give out the beta so we can test the net code.
HV has been empty lately, they went down and now they're back on an even faster connection. In case you don't remember, HV is the biggest T2 server on the planet, having 60 people. I hope T:V isn't like UT2K4 which is limited to 16 people on most servers. If it is, then you devs need to get the net code from GG they just released. UT2K4 is boring, because if 1 or 2 people leave, it's game ova in seconds.

For now, it's T2, everyone come back, but it would be nice if you give them the T:V dedicated server to test.


this is possibly the last place on earth to suggest that. last time i checked the vast bulk of tw'ers operated under the premise that a) hv sucks and b) its full of cheaters/noobs 24/7

Those of course being the small handful that would admit to still playing T2

make every level either a lush or ice map. no deserts! I want damnation or katabatic clones for every map i see.

I'm no T1 fanboi, but you definately make me understand why people can be so hateful towards both the good and bad aspects of T2. Anyway, I just hope you are trying to be sarcastic, and merely failing.

IrritAnt: I totally understand your post and appreciate your sarcasm. As a fellow map designer, I understand the "artist's attachment" which can arise. My point, which I think you understand and were only being sarcastic, is that that attachment needs to be subdued by a professional committment to acheiveing the goal of the entire game. I hope you guys have this under control, but I'm still a bit sceptical after my previous beta experiences.

Wtf is with this? A beta is all about community input. They have made a few changes because of community input already, so that implies they will when they release the beta. They arent gonna tailer the damn game to every wish of every person here so stop expecting them to. They are the desingers, so they can do with the game as they damn well please. But they have listened to this community, and considered our ideas and critisisms. They are doing a great job on the game, and arent at all trying to "n00bify" it like I see so many of you babys whine about. Stop giving them BS everytime they make a new change. They are doing it for the better of tribes, not for the noobs. The ppl who whine and complain about them and their work are the ppl I consider noobs. Give them some room to do their work, and stop crying about everything.

I will never understand why anyone would ever play anything that isn't Classic. All other game types, no matter how numerous their attendance may be, is a simple waste of valuable playing time.

i used to go shriking on HV to waste time when i didnt feel like playing comp

its terrible to see someone who cant shrike well at all (me) can be one of the best shrikers in a full 60 man server

non-vehicle combat? please. its like a tribes vet playing around with someone who just opened the box
