Well, lets see, I hit #1 a few times on the CL 2v2, got into the 20s in CL 1v1 ON a 56k, and I can only remember using a small amount of keys+side buttons on my mouse for crouch/reload. I mean, you didnt win games by using every damn key. You won em by strafing, prefiring, and strafing back. Games usually went to a chokepoint and lasted for up to 20 minutes this way. You need what, 4 keys for that? Maybe another for the hbs? Occasionally id press C to center my ret (because it would automatically be at the headshot level), but that was it. The main complexity was your loadout in the pre-game screen. Knowledge of the map>*
I don't think basing my post on one-on-one match-ups was the intent. Everyone knows you don't need many keys to play 1-on-1 DM. I'm talking about teams, like 5-on-5. I use a bit more than five keys.
But anyway.
Scenario:
I'm playing LD
Capper is coming in for a flag grab
The flag is in front of me with an object on the other side (i.e., wall, teammate's face, or whatever the grapple hook will grab onto)
Last second before he grabs, I shoot the grapple hook creating a "trip wire"
Will the capper:
1.) The break through the cable?
2.) Trip and fall, and then I taunt?
3.) Sever his head (if the cable is high enough)?

been said countless times, now
anything goes through the cable, it breaks
bend the cable too far from where it hooks (eg around a corner) it breaks
Yes, I did read that. I guess I'm trying to get an idea of what is "anything". So someone walking through it will break it? Slightest touch and it will break? I figured there had to be some amount of "speed" involved to break it....

IIRC there will be a small section of rope on the hook that doesn't break so easily, it's for being able to swing around corners.
I'll try to find the post...
EDIT: here it isYes. The hook remains attached until something breaks it, or you detach it. It detaches if anything passes thru the line, for instance if the line passes thru a tree, or a player passes thru your line, or you pass around the corner of a building. There is a short grace area at the hook end of the line that can pass thru things (otherwise the hook would almost always break before you wanted it to). Currently there is an unlimited amount of "ammo" for the hook, but that may change as we see how it is used in the game.
