Computer Randomly shutting down

help me tw! ok heres the deal. My comp randomly shuts down while playing games/browsing web/stuff like that. i dunno what the heck is happening.

specs just in case:
3200+barton
gigDDR3200
AsusA7N8X2.0 Deluxe
Radeon 9800 pro 128
EDIT: winXP home is os

it could be a faulty mobo
or you could not have a big enough power supply

:shrug: nobody can really tell you what's going on with such limited info ;x

bingo, i fixed the problem thanks to destos.

cpu was idleing at 68c, now 40. heatsink wasnt properly seated

again thank you Destos!!!

heh, had that same problem, had to screw in the heatsink tighter.
whenever my desk shaked or i touched the case, the heatsink would move out of palce and junk would go up to 75

idles at 29 now
