This is for an older friend who needs to use this document a lot.
http://www.opm.gov/forms/word/of612.doc
He can open it or save it to his desktop, but he plans on using it a lot (for his work, or something, I didn't ask the nature of him using it, I'm just trying to help him fix his prob), and he can't seem to copy/paste the contents of it into a blank word page. He wants to be able to run spell check, and save a halfway completed version of it, since everytime he fills it out, only minor details will be changed.
I'm not sure if I am explaining this well enough, but basically:
-He can't copy/paste the contents of the word document into a fresh document
-He can't run spell check on what he has filled in
-He can't retype the document because it has all sorts of quirky tables that are too complicated for him (and me, I don't use word much)
I tried opening it in wordpad, which works, and would solve tohe problem, except he can't spell check it there, and when he prints it out, the document is no longer contained on one page, the tables take up like 1.4 pages, width wise.
If somebody knows how to egt around the copy/paste stopper, that would solve the problem just fine. Otherwise, without retyping it all (including tables), he needs to find a way to have a version that he can save partially completed and run spell checker on.
