Well, i'm going with an AMD 64 3000+. Now my question, is the stock fan
(they never are) any good or will I have to buy a seperate one? If so can anyone recommend some good ones.

applied correctly a stock hs/fan will/should keep you below 50 celcius. this isnt near everyones ubercool sub 40 cel. but less than 50 degree cel is well within AMD specs. both tomshardware and anandtech have nice reviews of hs/fans for aftermarket. but if you are buying a retail box, what they supply is sufficient unless you are an overclocker(no matter how minimal).

I dont plan on OCing at all. I just wanna know if there are any fans out there for the AMD 64s that can do a better job than the stock fan.
