I hope not.

The Scout was horrible, as were the other "vehicles" in Tribes.

And the Shrike is damn near impossible to fly.

or not any of themNot like any of them. Perhaps more like a descent vehicle + gravity. :shrug: It really does feel like the Fighter, and not much else. Somebody will figure out what it feels like and we'll all go "ya, that's it", but it would seem that I'm not that person.

Aww, a total descent vehicle would rock...

Also as a mod Ive always wanted JETTING with the jetpacks to be like "whereever you look when you jet" you go...

can we do any crazy things like cut the antigrav and drop like a rock or do flips, loops or dives? can it stall? how high can it go?

You just need some practice.
I find it second nature now, whereas vehicles in other games feel wrong.

Why not? From what I understand, you won't be able to crash a vehicle and have it be available for respawn immediately.

I agree with Registered Fruit. Jumping out of a vehicle and gaining the vehicle's momentum is fun, but it may ultimately cheapens the player's experience.

The decision has to be made between immersion (leaping out with the vehicle's momentum is an immersive experience, especially in a game where you ski and jetpack and move fast already) and gameplay emphasis. I think player emphasis is removed when the vehicles become the way to start routes.
