EDIT (Problem Fixed):
For future reference, the newest IE service pack has problems with third party download managers. Under the registry key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PROTOCO LS\Name-Space Handler there should only be only one subkey called "mk". If "http", "https" or "ftp" exist under this key they should be deleted.
I believe there was a fix for this posted here that had to do with deleting a registry key that had to do with getright or something. Can someone point to me to it? Thanks.
