[T:V] Pre-order Question

I know Marweas was going to tell everyone when to preorder T:V (I forget the exact reason, but I remember hearing it would make T:V look better). Well, now that he is gone will we still get a big announcement from someone?

Forgive me if this has already been asked, the search is down otherwise I would use it.

The reasoning was that it would help the sales of the game... Here's how it works.

For everyone 1 person that pre-orders the game, the retailers buy x many copies (for this we'll use 3). So if 100 of us pre-order from the same company, that company orders 300 copies of the game because that's how they judge sales.

So what happens when we order 1000 copies, the company orders 3000 copies and now other retailers are taking notice and saying "Wow, that game sure has a lot of attention to it, I'd better stock up". And the more copies a store has, the more it will sell for those people that are "browsing" for games.

Which game would you buy, one that has a single copy on the shelf, mixed in with hundreds of other games or the one that has a huge banner and has a entire case dedicated to it? Most of the people "shopping" for games will buy the one that they see the most ads for or the one the store is pimping.

But now the problem comes in that the numbers aren't so impressive when they are spread out over the course of a year. However, sell 3000 pre-orders in the course of a week and people sit up and take notice. So thrax will inform us of when to pre-order. If you're already going to pre-order, hold off. If you're not going to pre-order, there might be something special that you get for plopping down your $10 early. So give it some thought.

For now, just be patient and wait for the news.

I'm not. Not to say I haven't tried. Just hasn't worked out.

It they have nice little free accessories if we preorder.
