SonGohan 03-24-2004, 03:23 PM Is it safe to say if you can run UT2004 at full graphics and special efects on smooth as silk, T:V will be able to do the same? Tycho 03-24-2004, 03:25 PM honest answer: no Sir Lucius 03-24-2004, 03:29 PM your machine will be fine, they test on less Theta 03-24-2004, 04:29 PM [dev answer] T:V is not ut2k4, I repeat, T:V is not ut2k4. We have made several enhancements to the core engine: new player physics, havoc physics for vehicles, and updated netcode. You will need to buy a ATI Radeon 9800 PCI-Express T:V version in order to run all the large textures. This is NOT ut2k4 people. [real answer] Probably. Locke355 03-24-2004, 04:30 PM how many threads can people make on the topic of T:V system specs? Got Haggis? 03-24-2004, 04:31 PM or a AGP card that has 256 MB PrinceVince 03-24-2004, 04:50 PM or a AGP card that has 256 MB or a pact with the hardware industry :worried: SonGohan 03-24-2004, 09:11 PM how many threads can people make on the topic of T:V system specs? Dont know. Think I'm ever here? I'm afraid it'll ruin my godly image. Shinigami 03-24-2004, 09:20 PM search for God's sake Locke355 03-24-2004, 09:24 PM Dont know. Think I'm ever here? GIMPbeowulf 03-24-2004, 09:33 PM I bet you'll be fine... wouldn't count on absolute max detail, but would expect you'd be able to have most of the goodness. IMO, a game should ship with max details and effects that are beyond the capability of current hardware so it still looks good some time after release. Yeah, that's what I expected. kirby6510 03-24-2004, 10:58 PM PCI cards work well? mine says it can run stalker full Grafx...(morons) Shinigami 03-24-2004, 11:54 PM PCI-Express is not normal PCI. kirby6510 03-25-2004, 12:25 AM i was stating that my pci card box has ads for stalker on the back and says somthing about big textures..... KillerONE 03-25-2004, 12:29 AM Any value from a PCI X card will take a few more years.. Games/Systems aren't even pushing the bounds of AGP 8x. Save your monies. :) Adept 03-25-2004, 02:23 AM false.. Annihilator-X- 03-25-2004, 07:55 AM Well T:V has the similar graphic requirement as UT2k4 I guess. Even my GeForce 2 Ultra and 1.2G CPU runs smoothly with UT2k4 with highest quality settings oO Anyway PCI-Express should not be confused with PCI-X which was out several years ago. PCI-Express is radically new. Indeed current graphic card has not breach the capacity of AGP 8X yet. I won't comment on the upcoming graphic cards though as they said to be 2 times faster than the current fastest graphic card. However there would be a little (May be very little) improvement with the new interface due to reasons like less CPU utilization, less interference due to less voltage used in the PCI Express interface. Trashman 03-25-2004, 10:24 AM Even my GeForce 2 Ultra and 1.2G CPU runs smoothly with UT2k4 with highest quality settings oO ...yea, of course it does http://www.tribalwar.com/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif Stilgar 03-25-2004, 10:26 AM C64 with 1541. | ||
