Petition to put the targeting laser back into T:V

Please?

Think about it, people. What kind of goofy fudge-around laser light shows will you be able to do without the benefit of a targeting laser?

If I hijack a server playing a legitimate game and try to hold a Pink Floyd laser show midfield using disc launchers and sniper rifles, it's not only going to look hokey, it might possibly actually hurt someone and get me kicked by some asshole admin.

If I do it with targeting lasers, on the other hand, nobody gets hurt trying to legitimately play the game while I try to distract them with my wonderful rendition of Another Brick in the Wall part II.

For the sake of fudgeing around in pubs and practice and the occasional ban-worthy match escapade, I implore those slack-jawed idiots the wonderful, darling likes of Thrax and KP to put the TL back in as a built-in utility for all the good little boys and girls who will buy and play T:V.

Actually, the targeting laser was really useful for pointing out... things. Even if it doesn't create a waypoint or an aiming waypoint, a pointing green laser beam useful for just pointing, would be quite desired.

I hope they consider adding one. C'mon, you don't even have to make a model or weapon. You could just hold down L and while you did, it would shoot the laser out of his chest or crotch or whatever.

With a full time radar, we probably won't have to point things out.. but, yes, the best use of a targeting laser would be directing teammates.

Change name to Laser Pointer. :)

just put it on their wrist a la buzz lightyear
and give it the ability to screw up someones vision :)

T-Laser was useful for things out of game, like explaining things to your team in practice etc..

I supose if they don't make one someone could easily make a mutator for a TL. That would be cool.

I didn't know until now that there wouldn't be a TL in T:V but now that I know it's a horrible horrible idea to take it out! So many good memories of blinding people with that thing and holding huge lightshows in the middle of maps just for fun. PUT IT IN OR DIE.

The people have spoken, Thrax, my boy. You cannot defy me, for they are overwhelmingly on my side.

Most Helmets have various forms of optics mounted in the Visors. Why not simply use the "L" key to toggle the Laser Projector from the side of the head? You could toggle "on" "off" or just "pulse" where its only on while you hold the key down.
