Could you please release a version of the vikingpack 5 ET thing, with just the flag, health bars and clock, itemhud, and flag event popups? (minus all the control scripts and dynamic reticles)
When i try to turn options off in the preferences file, things fuck up, my h_friend and h_foe and crosshair disappear. when i press the mine or nade full force throw key, it tosses all 3. and when i tried to delete the execution of the unwanted scripts the flaghud images didn't work.
i suck at scripting, help me :( it would be much appreciated.

you have to let the config.cs rebuild when you reset things / change things in vikings prefs file.
(aka delete it, make your changes in viking prefs, launch tribes, bind any remaing keys in-game)

I think you managed to make a typing error in the preferences file. Just for test, extract the original preferences.cs and just lauch Tribes and see if it works.
Reticle can be disabled in Hudbot.cs, but then you'd have to remove the h_reticle.bmp in base/skins since that is just a blank bitmap.
Also.. make sure you don't run any other scripts when troubleshooting.
yeah, i figured it out. i left out a bracket in the preferences file. and i had to delete the config file since it wasn't overwriting it.
however, everything works fine when i play tribes, but once a new map loads, the flaghud and itemhud info jump to the top of the screen =/

Hm.. are you running something else along with these?? I have nothing that should be able to cause something like that.
nope, i deleted all my scripts, running VP5 only.

well if ur running vp5 only then everything should be fine? otherwise everyone else with it would have had the same problem :>
