I had recently set up my computer as a linux/win 98 dual boot system and had about 6 gigs partitioned to linux. I now want to do other stuff with my pc and want to get rid of linux and resize my win 98 partition so I can get those 6 gigs back. does anyone know of any free utilities that can do that for me? Im not really in the mood to shell out money for a program like partition magic.

Well, I don't fuck around with linux anymore, so I rarely ever multi-partition my drives, but back in the day, it was a one-way trip. You can probably find a program that will emulate putting them back to one partition (I seem to remember a program called Big Disk), however I'm not sure how good that is for data integrity. If it is a really big issue to you and you don't want two partitions, your only option is to backup and format.
