[T1] GUI Tutorials?

Im lookin to make my own gui but im having some trouble, all this sweet stuff coming out for hudbot but i dont wanna use it cuz it wastes fps. Anyhelp appreciated, thnx

colorgui's waste just as much fps as hudb0t does, if not more (re: gui's, not 4096x2048 pixel disc skins)

well if i wasnt running on such crappy specs i wouldnt mind, but i do notice a significant drop in fps when i go from say, my cyczii config and then to andrews and hudbot. I dont want anything awesome, just something streamline, out of the way and easy to see

hang on, is spies colourgui all i need to read? follow that, and then make teh coordinates of the scripts to the zone of the hud or vice verser?

does mine slow u done if u take all the custom textures (except huds) out of "andrew/" ?

Yeah, thats what im using atm. No, it doesnt slow me, well i think it doesnt.. i'm just sick of using everyone elses cool shit, ive played this for ages and i wanna play with stuff that i can say 'hey i made that' lol, you know what i mean?

i took all global taunts out of randomchat, u could edit it and put them back in though (but they're kinda annoying)

i wouldn't bother w/ colorgui kust, andrew's hudbot version is much easier
what kind of pc specs do you have?

intel cele 433mhz -196mb ram- 64mb geforce mx440 video card, and alot of other crap stuff. I just bought that video card a few weeks ago but i still get like 20-30 fps, i think my cpu is really letting me down :(

lol random, lastnight i tried colourgui from spy's tutorial, but i gave up after it failed 3 times. I came to the conclusion... that i suck.

Well that's not a very good video card, but when using anything other than Glide, T1's performace is very proportional to your CPU.

im tellin you kust, steal a cpu from skool. there much better than yours

well if the opportuinity ever presents itself.. (easy to take ;)..) then maybe i will, rofl, that 1 gig hard drive was a pretty good steal, someone told me it was 40 gig, but they were lying, bastards.
