I'm about to cancel UVaLAN 6 for fear that we may be sued for maKing money.
I would encourage Colosus to close up shop as well.
God forbid anyone should use the money we get from the Tribes community to better ourselves after countless hours of work we put in. I guess it's only fair that only Sierra/Vivendi make the money from the players who buy the game. Why should anyone profit from keeping the game alive and the community together.
So fuck everyone who wants to criticize Colosus. I refuse to be pulled into this bullshit. Let's just all forget UVaLAN 6. There's just way too much potential for me to profit from a year's worth of planning and the financial entanglements that make it work. It's the only reasonable thing to say.

For the person recieving the funds to go out an spend it as he sees fit, can be wrong. Spending it on yourself is even worse.
While some may have donated to col for the purpose of col spending it for tw generally, you would have a perfect case. Some however, had specific intentions for their donations, and as such, have a right to question the process.

From a moral standpoint, you do have a right to know what is going on with the money you dontated....but legally you don't have a right to demand anything. Join the "who gives a shit" club and enjoy the flaming :)

i would want to donate to tw, not to colosus. ever since he spent donation money on a ticket to uva, i had no interest in giving to him for his personal enjoyment. not mad, just that's the reason for not giving.

The point of the matter is this. We donate to Tribalwar to keep the site up and running, and running smoothly. Colosus is as big a part of that as all the hardware is. If he's happy, then it helps the site run more smoothly.
We had a donation drive for new equipment. We got it. So there was some left over, and Colosus used it to get some more equipment that he could use to bring T:V news to the community. Where's the fucking problem, people? So what if he gets to keep the laptop. It only gives him more means to help out the good citizenry of Tribalwar more in the future.

Ok... Yankee started a thread for donations to get me to UVA. He accepted the donations and he sent me the money to buy me the ticket. I had absolutely nothing to do with it.

Wow. I have always thought that you were a great guy Cheater. I realize that your post is mostly focused at other people and probably a kneejerk reaction/joke, however... its not like the only people putting time and efforts into a HOBBY is TW and UVALAN Staff. I am sure I will be flamed for saying this, but if you are not doing things for the "community" because you want to do them, then do not do them. Head Admin/Owner of TW and leader of UVALAN all of a sudden are coming accross as if they have some deserving power over everyone else. IMO its ludicras.
