Tribes: Vengeance Propaganda

in another thread, thrax mentioned something about shipping fleshlights with tribes as a joke, but it got me thinking about what kind of Tribes propaganda stuff would be cool?

The first thing that always comes to mind is the keychain. Keychains are pretty bland tho, b/c they're usually just a logo. I think the secret is to take fun elements of the game and then making them into cool shit. So let's take a keychain, and instead of saying "TRIBES VENGEANCE" on it, you make it a 3d disc launcher on a chain. See, that'd be cool as shit to have.

Marweas had the right idea with those Ski Team shirts. If I wanted another Tribes T-Shirt I would want it to be something cool like that. I think the premsis of that is simple colors and shapes. There's no reason I need a complex full color screen printing of the TV logo on a shirt. If you could come up with some cool shirt design that stands on it's own then it becomes even more desirable.

As for flashlights, wouldn't it be cool to have a little flashlight shaped like a blaster? Like the siaze of a AAA battery, nothing big.



Some base logo stuff is ok, like money clips and zippo lighters. I realize it's sometimes harder to make a custom design then to just paste something off a stamp.


So anyone else have any other desirable propaganda ideas? They should be unique, realistic, and cheap.

i saw the new pre-order boxes for City of Heros and Lineage II at CompUSA include a cd of 'bonus material' , a glass with a graphic from the game, a bottle of bawls, and a $10 off coupon.

hopefully t:v can do better than that.....thought it was kinda lame myself (but better than the bonus cd only crap)

I really liked the T:V Frequent Flyer tags (and ski-team shirts obviously)

I got a T-Shirt with my pre-order of T2. I would love to have a T:V T-Shirt.

Too bad the T-Shirt was more usefull then the game itself.

This is the type of thing that increases brand awareness.

While not really obscure, action figures would be elite as hell. Think about a Mcfarlane looking T:V heavy sitting on your desk, holding his double-barrel mortar. How cool would that be?

Here's an idea along those lines: You know those green plastic army men they have? Well they must be cheap as hell to make. It'd be cool get some figures of the three differnt tribes made that you could full up a little bag with. It'd be funny as hell at a lan party seeing someone set up a table and positioning them for strats :P

The king would be the flag of course. LD pawns. The rocket turret would be rooks.
I dunno, but I like the idea of an elaborete tribes chess set even tho I don't even play chess.

Ok, here's another idea

You know how they have mini american flags? Well I think it'd be cool to make mini flags with each of the tribes' logos on them

I'd like little plastic or pewter miniatures of some of the objects, ie: the armors, the flag, a turret, a sensor jammer, perhaps the scout... all from t1, of course.

i wouldnt mind a nice looking T:V shirt..

I hope so. The t1 stuff was so neat and awesome the way the deployables ballooned out. Sigh...

If they have a shirt it should be something basic.
