Pffft, come on every great player to play tribes has walked in your shoes. Just keep on moving forward and get on down the road. Don't ever take a step back even if it's to gain momentum.

CajunX 02-19-2004, 05:56 PM Pffft, come on every great player to play tribes has walked in your shoes. Just keep on moving forward and get on down the road. Don't ever take a step back even if it's to gain momentum. Tequn-Rijar 02-20-2004, 01:56 AM @CajunX I will look over all of your points again. To two points: - Angle. The midfield kind of position gave me often good carrier kills. - HO. Eh..hehe. Well, I am not [POE]Aly or Gold, and still learning. Also can just bring up a 'lame' excuse and say that in urgent situations I had often great returns even as heavy. Consolidation: I just love hurting the enemies. A sniped capper before he reaches the flag easies down the needed effort from the LD team, and so on. @Zimtstern *flobble* @CajunX again The quoted text was merely a cynical attempt towards people like Zimt. In fact, their playing on pubs rarely reaches some outstanding effort aswell. Pak 02-20-2004, 02:23 AM Woah. I should do a thread like that... Hehe. Seriously, it could help me. beast 02-20-2004, 12:40 PM firstly, decide whether you play for fun or to win (which is equal to fun for some). do you get pissed if you lose or not? if you dont, i dont see the point of this post. if you do and want to improve, rock on and read their advice :) from the few occasions i pubbed with you though it seems you relay too much on your low swiss ping ie cg/snipe. some dueling guidelines that worked for me (try em on sh roof) if enemy is in air and uses cg, stay on ground and cg back if enemy is in air and uses disc, either stay on ground and dodge if you know they suck at hitting smooth angle discs, or go air too and cg if enemy is on ground and youre in air, dont cg unless you really know your cg shit only go for mas if youre sure you hit btw reaper bisch tacD ? Nikita 02-20-2004, 12:50 PM Wow... now there's a name I've not seen in a long time! Teq, do you have any demos with =CK= that had me in them? Just trying to gather for a collection of my younger days. ;) Tequn-Rijar 02-20-2004, 02:11 PM Hola =CK=-mate! No, unfortunately not. The dummy I was back then (was it Feb 1999?), I did not even know, that a demo function exists and had no clue how to manag it :) Tequn-Rijar 02-20-2004, 02:14 PM @beast thanks for the duelling tips. actually i really prefere cg :) and yes, my 31 ping is sweet... i am rarely playing to win (to look at it that narrow), but to give my opponents a good and hard match. fun is my first call, then winning the map. reaper = tacD? No :) enDless_Delirium 02-20-2004, 03:52 PM I'm DLing now Teq, but I doubt I'll be much help. I'm coming off of a year and a half or so on the bench myself. I'm starting to remember my old routes, and I've almost gotten back to my normal levels of suckiness with mortar (when I HD/HO) disclauncher, grenlauncher, and chain. I was never good at MAing before, but as I'm trying to come back, and even improve on how I was when I competed, was wondering if anyone had any MA tips. Also, when you're moving, does that effect where your disc goes? Like if I'm going sideways trying to get a shot at a capper, do I have to compensate for my speed as well, or just for theirs? Reaper 02-21-2004, 12:49 PM Nei i bi nid tacD, aber chume eifach ou us dr schwyz... ;-) *fling* Dac346_99 02-22-2004, 01:44 AM I'm DLing now Teq, but I doubt I'll be much help. Like if I'm going sideways trying to get a shot at a capper, do I have to compensate for my speed as well, or just for theirs? uhhh The disk gets your movement a lil.. so if you are moving up and to your right side you have to aim down and to the left a lil more.. just go in ur own server and practice on a sensor or some shit to get how it reacts. also it effects cg etc a lil.. And also when cging someone zooming in 2x helps but imho fucks up ur skiing. | ||
