Diabetic 02-15-2004, 06:24 AM Hello there people. I have yet to get Tribes 2 and i was wondering how many people still play it online? My copy is coming in the post tommorow and it will be a bit of a pain if their are only a few people whom play multiplayer. If possible can you also tell me the time that i should go on when most people are playing.
P.S I have got a Tribes 2 demo and have played it many times. So i'm not too much of a Newbie. :roller:
Dalmar 02-15-2004, 06:35 AM Peak hours are usually 8:30pm to 11:00pm EST on Friday and Saturday (sometimes Sunday). You'll be lucky if you find a good server during the weekend.
As for the servers you'd probably be most familiar with, try any server with the "Rule Set" as variant or Classic, depending on what speed of gameplay you want. If you want it faster than you can blink, go Classic. Otherwise stick with variant.
(Also, be sure to create a filter too, to prevent joining a server with nothing but bots. ;) )

Yeah, if you're playing on Houston/Miami Vehicles (which is loaded with nothing more than vehicle whores) or some other shitty mod.

Yeah, around there I would guess. Maybe 300. I don't usually check to see how many people there are on, overall, during peak hours. I just check my fav servers to see if anyone is playing and join up. If not, I cry myself to sleep or play another game.

That link will get you through to more brits and euros than here, but if you're up really early (or late, whichever may be the case) the Rapture server pings sub-100 to alot of euros that play matches from England.

Thriky 02-15-2004, 10:49 AM I'm from England. The only server I really use is GameSurf Katabatic, which is populated pretty much all day and night - they also have a vehicles server which I'd assume is pretty similar with regards to activity.

Validuz 02-15-2004, 01:00 PM I suggest you played the mod called Classic. It offers fast(er) gameplay, which is the total opposite of Base :p
