The medium weapon looks wierd.. :\ but who knows what it is... some sort of GUN maybe. the plasma? looks more for dueling. Maybe it fires a spread of some sort... owell.. Cant really tell just have to wait for the announcement.

Wait - they said it didn't use energy?Right now it doesn't, in the past it has, and it could again if we wanted it to. It was quite frustrating to have it use energy, because you'd drain your energy reserves simply by pressing forward (or left/right) while making a normal ski run. Right now it uses no energy. It's just enough to allow a new player to jet straight up and then press forward to move onto a building they are trying to jet onto. The ability to glide also goes down rapidly with speed. So at capping speed you'll have only a very tiny (or no) ability to glide. When you're at full stop horizontally you have maximum gliding. Even then it's only a small fraction of what your jets and a key would give you.

Make a movie showing a dude just jetting up and then drifting please. K, thx.

Yeah Thrax, I can see why it'd be better without energy use. With energy use, you're inviting a lot of accidental energy drains in strange scenarios. From running off of stairs/buildings to being knocked into the air, you'd start jetting for no good reason.

I think the drift should be somewhat substantial at low speeds - just not as substantial as movement + jets. This distinction should be clearly defined to the newbies. You can move with air control, but you can REALLY move with jetpack energy. Especially at higher speeds.

In fact, this is basically what you said. Give my laudations to everyone involved.

no energy drain subtle drifting and more powerful jetting with the directional keys for fast movements?
Either way, you'll still need to keep your verticle jet going to avoid smacking into the ground at high speeds...right?
