Quick Media game story

The sprinting comment comes from the idea proposed a while ago (by kp I think) that if you walk down a hill you'll speed up your walk. If you walk up a hill, your walk will slow down.

There was some mention of a sprint button a while back that people bitched about. It's comforting to know that it was only a rumor.

No, In PC powerplay, which had a large T:V spread, they mention it.

the way to convince people that your game is newbie friendly is not to put all the vets against the newbies at a press event :p

Were special and daunt naturally skilled at the game? :P

Special and daunt are naturally skilled period. It didn't take them long to pick up the game with enough skill that they were owning up on all the press junkies.

I was wondering if daunt was checking out the 'ball' game, he was pretty damn boss in tr2.

And it turns out to be that people with a name of two words, starting with T and including Panda somewhere are invincible for some odd reason.

Just by simply describing the gameplay in a story, it sounds like good ol' tribes to me.

wtf Colosus doesn't play either!

After the presentation we went into another room and played some small sided games on the Fort map. At one point Colosus or somebody on the BE side was owning our flag and I decided to HoF to see if I could slow him down a bit. So I'm standing out in front of our base watching for cappers. Somebody comes over a hill, and two sniper shots take him down. Another guy comes the other way and a chain and sniper combo take him out. Two guys standing on either side of me have decided to take up light D. This continues for a while with nobody getting close to our flag, and I'm starting to get a bit bored, because everybody is getting wacked before I get a chance to mortar them. So I go over to the guys next to me (on the map) to see who they were. On my left: Special. On my right: Daunt. So Daunt, Special, and Thrax are playing defense against a bunch of (nice, but slightly less experienced) editors. At that point I decided to HO :).

where were you during the presentation?

He talked at the beginning and then dissapeared like a ninja into the shadows.

losing to colosus is one of the greater insults in tribes.

I can honestly say I have never lost to Colosus...





I can also say I have never dueled Colosus either...

I haven't played with him in like 4 years so I really don't remember.
