One shot on a turret a bit much though, imo. It's 2 in classic. One shot disables a spider and 2nd destroys it. Spike turrets are much more tougher but slower than spiders of course.

The most annoying thing I can think of as a farmer is that you go out and get one maybe two turrets out and when you go to place more 3 other people have used them up in stupid locations.

I agree that can get rather monotanous and vehicle attacks always were a welcome diversion though the bomber ones would take out half your deployables (if the pilot and bombadier were any good). So far it looks like T:V will have sufficient action to keep that monotany from happening.

I spent so much time playing deployer in both T1 and T2 matches that I would hate to see the turrets out of the game.
A good O has no problem dealing with turrets, although even a good O can have their rhythm thrown off when mid map they find that there are turrets being placed again.
I spent a lot of time in matches switching between deploy, LD and back to deploying. Having wave after wave of HO destroy every turret you setup as soon as you turn around is very frustrating, going LD let them think that they would no longer have to worry about turrets.
They just add that extra bit of stategy that isn't in many other games, and it also give another position for somebody to play that isn't LD, LO, HO, HD.

Wait a sec... where did they say that you could carry more than one turret in weapon slots? You can't carry 2 spinfusors, so why would you be able to carry 2 turrets at the same time?

You throw your weapons and pick them up; they take up weapon slots. lol, that all would depend on how big the base was :P Maybe he could only carry one turret. Maybe all 4! He would be defenseless after he deployed his assets with the exception of his turrets which could be good or bad. Maybe it'd be a valid strategy depending on the type of turret/s it was givin it's strength or weaknesses.
I can see sending in a farmer to the base to possibly take a certain position to help advance a front on the base. We don't even know how the game really plays yet or how they would factor or what kind of turrets there are.
I'm not worried .. yet. Sounds kinda cool. All depends if you're allowed more than one turret in a slot. Of course you can't carry 2 spinfusors that's silly. never could. Why would you want too? If I could carry more than one turret though I would but the penalty might be to be weaponless. Whatever helps advance the cause :P
