Their mics were WAY over-powered, totally distorted and garbled. :\ Theta 01-30-2004, 09:46 AM Video: Great Sound at Press Conferece: Sucked, kill the sound guy. Regular Sound: Need to even out the voices when different people talk. Sucked having to turn up the sound when face was talking, then lower when bodyshot was talking. Personalities: No offense, but you guys suck at filling in dead time. :| Buffering: Didn't buffer at all at the beginning. About the last 10 minutes I buffered about every 15 seconds. Not that big of a deal because I reconnected very fast. :p Music before Press Conference: OMG, if it wasn't that I knew there would be a T:V press conference, I probably would have ctrl k irl from listening to that music. ]{ane 01-30-2004, 09:50 AM What did you guys think? I thought it was well done.....I even enjoyed trying to follow the chat from 590 people in #WOFN Video ok? Not bad, it was a little grainy but over all it was passable. Sound? Horrid at times but it was usually fixed fairly quickly. Personalities? Need a real show on topic to judge them. Last night it seemed they just droned on, and on, and ........... Buffering issues? None. Disconnections? None. For the first ever live video at a press conference for us I thought everything was very well done........now if you could kindly upload the High res version of the video that was played last night it would be greatly appreciated. :) Yogi 01-30-2004, 10:50 AM DudshoT']^^ + try to get more music from our community. http://wofn.tribalwar.com/music/index.php P Masta Flex 01-30-2004, 11:03 AM I like how archemedies just gave play by plays of heaven after he ran outa material, I have other better streams to listen to techno not that the selection was bad at all. Jazmine 01-30-2004, 11:09 AM Everything was great except for the sound with the sierra guys. Looking forward to watching more! Jimmy 01-30-2004, 11:31 AM I enjoyed it. Great job all! :bigthumb: Everything went well as far as connecting/watching. The only complaint I have, which I'm sure was beyond your control last night due to the nature of the presentation, was the lighting. T@rget 01-30-2004, 11:46 AM Great job. The video was great. Hire mofo Set 01-30-2004, 12:02 PM hire me as on air talent. :signed: Cmon Yogi/Col, you know you want to :D Excal 01-30-2004, 12:19 PM Thanks for the feedback, both the praise and the flames are welcome and will be taken in consideration for future broadcasts. Personally I am very proud of how things came out last night, Could we have done better? sure we could have, there is always room for improvement. Are we going to make everyone happy everytime we go on the air?? HAHAHAHA yeah right. The goals we had for last night was to bring an entertaining and solid broadcast to the tribes community and to give the community members a seat at an event they would not have normally been able to attend. I feel like we accomplish both goals and on top of that we accomplished introducing ourselves to a vast majority of the active Tribes community. So I fell like the broadcast was a success. Now that the first big show is behind us its time for us to put our attention on being consistant. Anyone can take an event that everyone is already interested in, broadcast it and have a good turnout. Our job from now on is to keep trying to improve on what we do. Our regular schedule starts Monday night with the premier of A/S/L with PixieDee, El_Mariachi, and Bounty, thats when WOFN has to run under its own power and thats what I have my focus on. Also I am going to answer a question that has been asked alot since we have made our existance known, "Are we going to be casting Tribes 1 and Tribes 2 matches?" The answer to this question is yes. There will be a limited number of Tribes 1 and Tribes 2 match casted in the next few weeks, This will increase as we work out any complications we run into. Ok now to you 56k guys, While WOFN will be doing video casts, a majority of our talk shows will be audio only. Video use will be dependant of actually having something to show on the camera. And with the codecs in Winamp 5 you actually have a better chance of having a good connection than you have had with previous versions of the program. So give it a try. Those saying our on air personalities lacked chemistry and similar statements, No worries, no offense taken. If no one says what needs to be improved on we can't fix it. Thanks for expressing your opinions and we will work on it. To those saying good job and showing much <3, again thank you very much!!! and much <3 back to you. if you find spelling or grammer bloops remember I am from the south! :) EDIT to say Boofoo you want a shot the application is ready and waiting for you don't forget to submit a demo! and good luck. BigPappa 01-30-2004, 12:37 PM hire me as on air talent. You can do it mofo SureShot 01-30-2004, 12:41 PM Video was decent Sound was not very good at all, not clear and couldn't hear what the peeps wee saying all the time(kinda gurgled). I'd say pretty good overall for the 1st try though. =NEEC= Tummy 01-30-2004, 12:48 PM where is the video!?!?!?!?!!/ JerryGarcia 01-30-2004, 12:50 PM Buffering............. I had none when I first tuned in at 8 est, then later I guess whichever server i joined was getting hammered and I could hardly se any of the T:V stuff. Hope to see the video soon. nSpectre 01-30-2004, 12:53 PM Video ok? The light sensitivity on the camera was way too low. Couldn't make out faces and everyone looked African. Sound? On the assumption that the studio sound and volume were fine, since nobody made any attempts to adjust it, the audio feed pulled from there sounded overdriven. Many parts were unintelligible, as if they were fellating the mic. Was there a soundboard? Now you just need a sound tech. Personalities? Fine. Too early to comment since it's a first broadcast. Buffering issues? On my 6Mbps DSL it streamed wonderfully. Only noticed a slight skip in the stream three times. Once early on, just the barest skip with no rebuffer, then later, two skips in quick succession. Again with no rebuffer so there's no telling where the problem occurred. Disconnections? None Kudos to everyone. Not a bad start. | ||
