All I want is more features. not less of them.

No one wants to slow Tribes down. You're not going to find a fan of T2 who is against tribes1 fans getting their speed back. That mentality simply doesn't exist. Besides you already have your speed back now with T:V, you don't have to lobby for it anymore.

yes it does. base still has a pretty hardcore following. they tend to think the slower things are, the more strategical. i dont agree with that or anything, just saying, it exists :x

less features than t2, more features than t1, would be ideal imo.

The truth is Blotter.

Those base people just have weak bladders, while people playing Classic can wait to pee in between maps, the base players have plenty of time to take a piss when the capper shows up on sensors before having to lazily chase them with nades.

 what extra features did T2 have over T1?

I say when T:V beta is signing up, we go to every forum we can possibly find, register, and then inform them about it. ;) Show some screens, whatever.
hell, count me in...

not that we'll need to, the game speaks for itself.. but every bit helps i guess :)

People dont like being told the facts...mostly because they think you are implying that they are dumb. Most everyone would probably just call us big dorks and never play the game. Advertisers learned this a long time ago.

However, people do respond to hype. If theres a way you could create a shitload of internet hype you would be golden.

I just dont want T:V to be bare bones compeition essentials...tribes is also about jacking off in a server with friends and fooling around with useless (maybe?) yet fun stuff.
I ask for one thing.. that the buggy and POD have the ability to flip and roll (helo halo..) worth hours of fun imho... especially with the combination of mortar+buggy or mortar+pod..
mmm, you sit i'll launch... then we'll switch :)

i guess "gameplay options" is a better term. packs, vehicles, turrets, etc... too many in t2, not enough in t1.

Something seriously tells me you never played Tribes 1, or obviously not long or well.

Nope, im just the oddball...

I was playing T1 since spring of '99.
I played at least 5 OGL matches. I was more public but still did some of the OGL play back in that ladder's hayday... I LOVED T1.

Saw T2 picked it up and found that base was an improvement over the classic gameplay. I thought like the DEVs I guess...

Ran with T2 base and have played 200+ TWL matches under it... havnt regreted T2 at all.

I haven't touched my CC in classic match play once.

In pubs.... once in a while since it helps tell dumbasses "ONOS KILL THAT PLEASE"

Just about every single T1 player that is worth a shit regularly uses CC.. Unless they are cheating and can see players behind the hills. Awareness is key, thats where the CC comes in. Tribes is big and open, and you cant always see everything (plus there are things like bases and hills in the way). CC lets you see that incoming capper before he is visualy able to be seen etc. 3 or 2 seconds can be the difference between having your flag grabbed or not. Not having a CC would give someone using a wallhack/playerfinder that much more of an advantage.

Also; having a CC and a sensor network makes the gens that much more valuable to take out, it adds depth to the game and dosent take away from anything. If you dont want to use the CC, then don't.

You have obviously have no clue how much of a vital tool the CC is the upper tiers of competition, and how useful of an awareness tool it is. Only a complete newbie would think that the cc is "A stupid tool not worth using".

A REALLY GOOD PRACTICE MODE WOULD BE 900000000000000000 > than a stupid CC that no one will use
