Modified lava textures weren't allowed in DT 1.11, don't know if it has been changed in 1.15. You shouldn't be able to see enemy players hiding in lava.

its considered illegal to the ladder you're playing on, illegal as in violating one of the rules (laws) that govern that ladder. so, i think, illegal would be a perfect term to use.

If you do your homework right you will see that there are ways to get past DT.

GRAND IDEA! But guess what? I don't know which ones to delete!
1. Download ftp://ftp.slingscripts.com/Ilys_Scripts/checkDTCRC.vl2 to Tribes2\GameData\base
2. Load Tribes2 using Tribes2.exe (NOT dt.exe)
3. Once T2 loads, click the start button in the T2 browser to open the main menu.
4. At the top of the menu, you should see "CRC checker." Click it.
5. A window should pop up with a button at the bottom that says "Check Files." Click it. A window will pop up with 2 CRC options. Select "dtcrc" and click okay.

The script will now display a list of filenames. The filenames in red are the ones using skins that are illegal by DT standards.

This is why DT is great, there is always some guy who jumps to conclusions and starts complaining on the forums before they even -try- looking for a solutions themselves.

GOD DT SUCKS CAUSE I DIDN'T HAVE THE SENSE TO TAKE 10 SECONDS TO READ THE README. I KNOW I WILL COMPLAIN INSTEAD THAT WILL FIX THINGS.

If anyone hates what DT attempts to do, you're crazy.

It might not stop people like happy from creating the cheats, but it will definately put a slow end to released cheats.

It helps prevent the widespread use of cheats.

Well, lava and water are the same thing according to the engine which is probably why water and lava textures can't be modified.

Lou I just want you to know that at least one person got it.

The ones I know of that seem to get peeps are gen skins and epack skins. Why those are checked I'm not quite sure but you might want to try removing those first.
