LA Testing

THis is a very good question actually, and I'm happy to clear it up a bit.

This test has nothing to do with showing the game to a few vets. We'll be testing with three groups of people:

1. FPS players who don't own Tribes
2. Current Tribes 1 & 2 owners
3. T1 and T2 competitive community members.

Our testing department doesn't exactly have a list of good players from the competitive community, so that's what I'm putting together here. I don't know who lives where, thus the post to find out who lives in LA.

The other two groups will be selected at random from the database our testing group maintains. If you've tested games for us before, you may still get randomly called in for the middle group of random tribes owners.

Well my offer stands then, like I said if you guys feel like its a conflict of interest since I work for Sony, nm, but I played Tribes since release was on some of the good teams.. I think mostly for my good looks though *cough*. OxY, TF, FTM, etc etc I just want to make sure you guys get the best input to make a great game, if that includes me great if not, oh well I am sure I can find something else to do with my tues night =P.

The tests that are getting drawn from databases... are those similar to the drive and see it type of thing or those actual testing phases where game CDs are mailed out or downloaded?

I remember Uppa kicking our asses, but have no recollection of Greywork...

The problem with the Pandas (other than we weren't very good) was that everybody knew we were from Sierra, so when we got thrashed (like by SA) they said "Sierra suits all suck, blah blah", and then when we won (like in our next match, against somebody who was even worse than we were) we got "Dev cheats, they used dev cheats!". So we gave it up as a lost cause and joined other tribes, like Cows and Reckless (both of whom absolutely thrashed SA to within an inch of their sad lives, btw)
