Don't forget that you're working under the Tribes banner - it's an INCREDIBLY tainted name (thank you Qix, thank you VERY FUCKING MUCH) - and there are a lot of users sitting back just hoping to god that T:V won't be worse than T:2.

Personally, I want to play it now just because I am really curious to see how you guys pulled off the major modifications necessary to the UT2k3 engine and what kind of feel you managed to get out of it... but I am also kind of really hesitant to look forward to another Tribes game.

Thrax... your skin must thicken a bit. That seriously was behaviour WAY outside of the realm of a Sierra producer - even Qix (who we all agree was a raging asshat) wasn't that bad! Haven't you ever heard of the IGNORE button? Not that hard. I have like 2 dozen people on my list... never have to worry about hearing from them again unless someone I haven't ignored quotes one of those people... and then I just patiently take a deep breath and say something like "Orbital123 is sooooo funny. this is why he's ignored" and then move right along with life.

this ban hits the guy who was able to fix the hacks and cheats flying around the t1 servers recently. he took shit then too, for his past shitty activities, but he did something tangible to further the community DESPITE the abuse.

x66's comment was actually pretty funny and summed up the way a lot of us feel in only a few words - and he gets banned?

Maybe thrax was joking (i hope so) and didn't mean to get x66 banned. maybe he wasn't joking and now realizes that it was a total abuse of his appearance of power.

fine, no matter what. my respect for Thrax as a person and as an employee of Sierra / Vivendi as a game PRODUCER is toast. I gave him a chance - and he blew it. I am sure he's going to sit up at night wondering why Loop doesn't love him anymore, but whatever.

Maybe Thrax doesn't give a shit. Who knows? Maybe he does. For all you know, a TW admin just decided he was sick and tired of the guy, and agreed with Thrax's comment. Personally, I think you're grasping at straws, and your explosive response over such a ridiculously unimportant event just solidifies that for me. I know that I've talked to Thrax a couple of times, and he struck me as a pretty cool guy. For all I know that empty feeling in my gut isn't any lack of moral fiber, but the feeling of not having a dick up my ass. Ooo, that's a new sensation. I kind of like it.
