twhub problems

2 big problems i have with dc++ on the twhub.

1) constant drops. i'll leave it running in the background while at work during the day, or at night, and the next time i check it, dc++ is no longer running.

2) dl speeds diminish to zero for certain users. they'll start at 15 to 20kbs, then over the course of a minute or two, slow down to zero, then disconnect. i chatted with the person i was trying to dl from, he had no explanation.

specs:
1.6ghz tbird
abit kt7a
512mb pc133 sdram
cable through linksys router
windows xp pro

maybe try and isolate the problrm for sure to the router by running DC without a router if possible?

I don't know how that could be possible. A firewall doesn't manage bandwidth, only ports and network commands. Even then it only deals with states (Open/Closed (or Stealth if you prefer)). It would have to be a pretty shitty firewall to cause connection loss like that.
