Hey Guys,

I am doing a little system admin work for the school and need some suggestions on what you think could be causing this.

We have Dell GX150's manufactured in or around 2001. I have read about the possibility of a bad production run on the harddrives causing defective drives but Im seeing alot of other defective hardware.

As of the list I have now of trouble calls there are:
6 Bad Floppy Drives (Samsung)
4 Bad CDRom Drives (Unknown Make)
3 or 4 Bad HD's. (Maxtor)

Anyone have any theories on why all these are failing? If so I would like to hear them.

What temperature is the room at?

How many PC's are we talking? If it's 200, that's not too bad for failure rates.

Room Temperature, 108 PCs total in this building alone.
