is it possible to go into observer in a demo to get a better view of something, i got a demo of something, but i only catch part of it in my fov, is there anyway for me to view it from a different angle?

if not, why not?

there was a demo cam released awhile ago that lets you freefly thru any demo as long there is data from the server.

Yesyes, it is Runar and Andrew's democam. Allows you to spawn an observer camera that is independent from the demo's speed. I'm sure Andrew uploaded it on the RDB. If you can't find it, you can PM me in IRC and I'll send it to you.

I think those are custom terrain textures... :shrug:

Those are Sarca's base textures but terrain textures are original.

concerning the democam, when i use it, i hit "p" and all it does is take me to a random spot underground. I can find my way to the action, but i dont get any options that are supposed to appear when i hit "p". also, i can use mouse to look around. is that normal?

and lastly, after about a minute after i start using the demo cam tribes crashes, and it doesnt matter which demo i watch. anyway to fix all this? :/

that's normal, you don't get any options after hitting P

press like number 5 after pressing P, then hold down E and you'll float up to the action, then just use the controls in the readme (assuming there is one)
