$50, purchased my xbox with PRP on october 2nd 03... so if you happend to have a broken xbox, you can get a brand NEW xbox from BB, ORRR if you are not satisfied with xbox and want your money back, then you can wait 1 year after oct 2nd 03, and get a nice full refund check from BB...

k, errr not sure what rule i am breaking, but You will receive the actual PRP pamplet(includes original reciept) from BB. PRP is a national Bestbuy Program so I am 100% sure that they will let you trade it in.

basically, PRP is a 2 year plan gurantee'ing you that as long as you use the product 'normally' it will not break or we will exchange the product or give you full refund(after 1 year).

It's not a refund, it's a product replacement, at best they'll give you credit towards something comparable for the cost of howevermuch the xbox was going for when you bought it and the prp. (at least, that's what the prp's said when I worked there last month). Oh, and usually, it has to be BROKEN for them to do give you credit or replace it.

One: oh please, If you ever worked at BestBuy, You would KNOW that there's Option to TRANSFER OWNERSHIP OF PRODUCT AND THE PRP. Its fucking on the Pamplet for godsakes.

TWO: It is a Full REFUND as far as i know... When i purchased the PRP plan, I made SURE that if i wasnt satisfied with Xbox i could exchange for PS2.. I was told that I couldnt exchange Xbox for a PS2, but after 1 year after the Purchase date, I could call 1888-539-6883, and get a Cashier's Check from them.. then i could spend the money on PS2 at the Bestbuy, Or just deposit..

Three: I've Exchange things MANY times which were NOT broken... I mean who the hell buys PRP for its 'actual' purpose and NOT a way to exploit? They pound the shit out of you with the Offer whenver you buy shit from them, i mean in a way, they brought that shit onto themselves. IE. I bought a mouse once with PRP plan.. it was about $8? and i made sure i got my money's worth by exchanging my mouse about... 3 times, with the line "my laser eye kept blinking on and off".

But If they do get bitch, you could just simply say "it wouldnt play some of my DVD movies." its WELL known fact that first gen XBOX had probs with its DVD drives...

You are getting chance to exchange OR get full refund on an XBOX that you are not satisfied with OR HATE.

edit: i called called the number and verified the Transfer of ownership of PRP, with the Original receipt and the PRP number(Both of which, you get from ME).

PRP stands for Product Replacement Plan. Best Buy isn't about to hand you cash for a broken Xbox.

like i said, this is chance to either Get a Brand NEW xbox with SAMSUNG DVD drive(ones that can READ CD-Rs perfectly- i watch all my DivX on CDs).

Or get a FULL refund on the box after 10/27/04.

Under no circumstances will Best Buy refund the price of an Xbox with a Performance Replacement Plan. The details are in the link above, as well as printed on the PRP pamphlet. I wouldn't know if I hadn't worked there. Unless they've gone insane and changed their PRP drastically in the last 3 years. I can call my friend in Orlando to confirm this (he works at the service desk). Please don't perpetuate the idea that anyone can get a refund with this.

Also, I would examine your receipts and make sure that PRP isn't linked to the serial number on your Xbox.

oh yeah, you can transfer the prp's I remember now. Oh, did I forget the part about you transfer it when you sell or give away your product that you bought the prp with?

or is it only with the same xbox which was sold or given away?!
