what he ment is that nothing is final except Defense will include nothing but remote controlling a turret that shoots rocketpods inside huge gyms that act like bases with the flag hidden inside a maze.

I liked the fact that bases used to be tight narrow places where heavies had an advantage. Outside in wide open areas a light usually has the advantage of jumping and jetting around a heavy and unless the heavy was a MA master the light usually came out on top. However once the heavy got inside the base he suddenly had the scales tipped because he could use his more poweful/slower weapons (mortor/plasma) to defend against lights. This required more light/spawn armors to work together in getting rid of him. since any lone person with a spawn loadout would usually die 4-5 times before taking him out. With the wide open gym like bases the heavy loses his advantage and any somewhat decent player can just zip around taking him out with discs. I dont mind one big open room but keep the narrow spaces in key areas like gen rooms and stuff so heavys will still keep the baserape advantage.

I don't think we'll notice much of a change. I will still own you at Seige. :)

big open spaces are better than halls, for lights, period.

If you have ever played some of those arena maps that are indoors you will understand...

Heavy may be the "dominant" armor indoors but there are alot of reasons to go LO w/ a shield on some maps. And it's possible to kill a HD with a LO, its just not that common. 1 LO can hold the entire RQ base if he knows how to play right.
