in the 1st days of T2 one could skip/ski across the water

well as soon as they figured out that that advanced gameplay and didnt hinder it they immediatley took it out, thus forever making standard maps with water absolute trash

Hmm i think water skiing should only happen when your moving at a high velocity..and if you hit the water at the right angle and it also would be cool if we could have some nice water spraying up behind us to :D

it depends on the velocity, Legends (http://hosted.tribalwar.com/legends) has this water skiing that you speak of, but only on the right trajectory

I was pissed at tribes 2 when it was discovered and when i went back to try it it had been patched out.

I was even more pissed when they patched out ballistic MPBs.
Nothing like landing an MPB right on the enemy's flagstand.

My clan had a blast flipping MPB's after practices. The first one we did went perfectly from one Katabatic base to the other. Then the next one I got a video of, itt went 10,000 meters OOB.

I think there was already a thread on this, or it was discussed in some other thread. And I think the sentiment from the devs (just from memory) is that there probably will be water skiing, but it won't be too easy.
