Actually, it is a religious holiday, national or not. Christmas is meant to celebrate the birth of christ. And im not christian, so I dont go around saying merry chrsitmass to people :-|

people post happy thanksgiving on international sites, celebrated only in america at all anywhere, but merry christmas celebrated by most people in the world is politically incorrect and youve got to say happy holidays, sounding like a naff 60's song and making the whole affair seem meaningless. call it politically correct if you like, as long as you dont believe its in aid of international, multicultural correctness. its only in aid of national, american correctness. if americans didnt have to keep their own factional nation happy with pc bull, it would go out the window.

id be interested in seeing how many european sites say happy holidays instead of christmas.

My site = My wording.

Other sites = Their own wording.

It isn't a comparison of locational based behavior. It is a person to person thing. I chose not to say "Merry Christmas". It was my choice, not for politically correct reasons, but because I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Holiday for whatever they might be celebrating. It is nice to see everyone in the "spirit" by arguing this stupid point.

If you wish, feel free to take over Tribalwar, ban Colosus and rewrite the post to your liking. Otherwise, stop arguing about such minor things and enjoy the holidays.

my girlfriend is muslim and her entire extended muslim family celebrates christmas as a social family holiday, not as a religious holiday. I and many of my friends could be considered atheists because we dont adhere to any religious beliefs, but we all celebrate christmas as times to get together and enjoy family and friends. Its a happy time, people shouldnt be so fucking lame and overly sensitive about it all. if some douch bag gets sand in his vagina over you saying merry xmas they should be ignored, cause thats just being an idiot.
