another map idea i have is a new version of Rollercoaster. Say you have a magnetic type e-pack that will keep you glued/jetted on a acctual rollercoaster type map in the sky. It would have rails which would prevent you from going off the sides, and you would be able to jet up if u hit jump/jet, but you would need to just use the jet feature most of the time, due to there being twist/flips in it. And there would be many different routes to the bases. This would be one of those maps tho that would probably make a nice LT type edition since only one flag position, maybe 2 at most would seem logical. But could be really kool.

I'm making katabatic in U2:XMP, (not containing unreal 2 objects), if all goes to plan it'll work in T:V easily, might bring out a ut2004 version.

I've always lusted for a map with two tall "u" shaped islands. Each island would have dense foliage ontop with ample cover for sniping. Inside a hangar on the "u" of the island would be the vehicle pad/spawn with a deep complicated inner base branching out inside the island. A few smaller entrances on the backside of the island allow for heavy drops and flag runners. The Flag would be located on top of the far side of the island in a rather remote place.

Its probably not likely to work in T:V since water may be more difficult to cross with the Jet-packs, but hey who knows, water hopefully won't be a velocity leech.

well In terns of being able to swim/wade in water, I would like it to work like this.

First off, only lights would be able to do this.

For wading, I would like it where you jsut have to press jump or sink. To swim around, use your e-pack, and for breathing underwater, perhaps a special e-pack, but wont give you any jet capabilities on land. But it would allow you to breath underwater/swim faster, but the swim booster would have to recharge like the jets do. To get out of water, you would have to jump+jet at the same time, and it would take a lot of your energy. Thats about it.

Dont worry, in tribes 2 water velocity was customizable, I havnt tried water in Ued yet, but I'm very sure it will be customizable

Heres a map idea, How about having say a transport, like a train in the map, and there would be two for each side, these trains would serve as the bases. The neat thing about this would be the flag moving !!! It would be a hard map to de/O because once ur knocked off, u got to catch it. Also, if you get in front of the train, get ran over, hehe. Just an idea. I dont think ive seen this anywhere, but it would definitely be unusual, and kinda neat to play I think.
