Arrow keys are superior for easier/faster movement (imo). But WASD offer more keys... and ESDF offers even MORE keys with the same layout as WASD. Therefore ESDF > WASD

Anyone that says otherwise, is flatout bsing themselves, and haven't ever tried ESDF.

As I said at the very beginning, the cursor/arrow keys are excellent. There's a nice little gap around the keys which means you never accidentally hit the wrong key, yet beyond that very reachable gap there's a whole host of buttons you can bind.

You can even split them into categories, for example delete/end/pgdown can be bound to the three basic droppables.. mine/beacon/grenade. Just an example, of course.

There was a nice article once in PCGAMER too which explained why the arrow keys are quite simply supreme. :p

Except for one big thing. I don't like playing an FPS while holding my arms as if I have cerebral palsy. Arrow keys are too close to the mouse.

Haven't you got a desk big enough to shift the keyboard across slightly?

Not that I find it a problem - I've personallygrown used to having my two hands closer together than someone using wasd/esdf.
