whats... christmas??? is that some kinda holiday or something?

Christmas is a multinational shopping holiday of festivites. It has a long history that starts a long time ago at the dawn of civilization. By human nature, most holiday celebrations take place during a seasonal change, Thanksgiving is a common harvest festival in the fall in America and Canada, and celebrates the summer crops and the comming of winter. In Japan they have the Cherry blossom festivals where the crazy japanese get drunk in public over a bunch of flowers. Well the winter solstice is no differnt and celebrates the shortest day of the year. If you live in the southern hemisphere this will be the longest day of the year, of course. Anyways, a Pagan holiday celebrated this event, but in an effort to convert the catholic church made this day into christmas, the birth of Jesus. Was Jesus really born in December? That's up to opinion and belief. So fast forward to the United States, and christmas is becomming wildy commericalized and eventually, after they're not prosecuted so much, the jews decide they want a piece of the action. So they pull out Chanuka and no one questions it b/c there's no way in hell we're going to read their long ass bible. Of course Chanuka is pretty lame so the Jews start getting christmas trees too and calling them Chanuka bushes, and around now we're starting to phase out Jesus. Sure, you still have Charlie Brown and his christmas special telling off about the meaning of Christ and what not, but we'll get more PC soon. And of course we eventually come to a point where Santa Clause has become the true representation of Christmas, and religieon isn't even mentioned as a factor as to not offend anyone (good marketing) and presents become the central focus (even better marketing). Things are going pretty good now if you like presents, but then out of NO where black people decide they want their own inter Holiday too. Pretty much no one is buying this one, and it's more of a joke than anything. But we still feel pretty bad about the whole slavery thing (United States) so we give it to them. You can tell when a holiday has been accepted when they sell decorations for it. You can get blue and white christmaslights and Kwanza boats or whatever the hell the are. All the lame holidays seem to use candles for some reason I don't know. Next year the gays will probably be at it with the flamming pink candle of spirit and butt sex. Uhh...but anyway, the true meaning of christmas is that we get the day off work, or the month of school, and that's just pretty darn special.

Oh, and if you don't get the day off then your boss is heartless.
