Why I think lights with 2 weapon slots are more interesting than lights with 3!

This is pretty shitty logic.
It is? Remember Twisty, they're not making T1 or T2, they're making T:V. Whether or not you want it to be, mediums may become cappers. Things will be different. You're argument, like most people who want T1 remade, is "it worked before so don't fuck with it." Well the armor classes are already different, so roles are going to change.

Tinkering with this shit will not lead to better gameplay.
It's already been tinkered with, so are you gonna cry to mama?

And yada yada yada same stuff repeated in different words...

Ive played on a mod were the lightest armor (which is super light) was limited to 2 weapons. let me tell you, that never stopped me from wearing it. I could close distances fast, and i was almost untouchable in the sky (unless i ran out of flares). In those rare occurances, where i went against a (usually rocket loaded) heavy, i could own them with a grenade launcher, if not for the focused chaingun this mod also featured for the heavies.

It's really not a hard choice, when you really get down to it. I only end up using 2 of my weapons most of the time, anway. if you engage heavies alot, go grenade launcher and disc. But if you're like me and often end up against other lights, i guess you're really only gonna come out on top with the chaingun and disc. When i go cloak, i go chaingun and lance, mainly because unlike with the plasma gun, i can constantly harvest more chaingun bullets from the inhabitants of the base. If i'm sniping, i go laser rifle and disc or grenade launcher, because i can wait till the other lights (a heavy is not going to come chasing you out) hit the ground.

My headaches come at the mediums. Ill have to sacrafice chaingun for oudoors, but im covered with grenade launcher, disc, and rocket pods (with ammo pack). But i often infiltrate with a jammer pack and the comfortable loudout of plasma, disc, chaingun, and shocklance. Beleive it or not, i usually get the most kills with the shocklance outside. I can go with the chaingun which is useful in most situations, but i sacrafice the plasma gun, which is pure fun at close range, but easily dodged beyond that -- and then im stuck wiht chaingun to destroy things. And shocklance is just too damn fun and useful to give up. Truely irritating.

Heavies -- outdoor configuration -- chaingun for those wizzing lights, rocket for anyone foolish enough to engage me in a vehicle or to stay int he air too long, mortar cuz ya just need it, and grenade for those hoppers. The downside is i lose the disc launcher.

On the review, it is no big loss. You just gotta cut the unnecessary, and rarely used crap, and go with what you intend to do.

With you lacking a secondary peice of gear in case something goes wrong, or something comes up, you can't really screw up, and you are forced to rely on your team mates as well.

Team Combat on an Epic Scale. Wasn't that the goal?

It was the goal for t2.

I dont understand the big fuss about only having 2 weapons for super-light anyway because of these reasons:

1) Mediums will be the same as T1 lights anyway, YOUR NOT LOSING ANYTHING.

2) It would be dull and utterly tedious to have the same loadout ( 3 weapon light) 6 years later....

3) Its a different game.

4) If it bugs you bad enough go back to T1 since thats what you want anyway....

and if you have a problem with # 4 then youll ultimately be controdicting yourself. If you want 3 weapon boring ass lights go play T1, and if you dont want to play T1 anymore because its old or boring or "lost its edge" then deal with whats new. All your whining or crying isnt gonna change their mind on devoloping the game.

whats dull and tedious about it? i didnt even know something like the number of weapons could get dull.

3) Its a different game.

yeah but the system worked fine in t1 and t2. so if its not broke dont fix it.

4) If it bugs you bad enough go back to T1 since thats what you want anyway.....

how does disagreeing on one thing mean we automatically want everything to be like T1? this argument is weak but i guess its all you got.

again i dunno how you consider this "boring" and i think it was already posted that the light will still carry 3 weapons...so if anyones crying its the people that are for this idea...since they are the ones who feel the need to defend it so much.

I have an open mind with this issue and really don't care either way with 2 or 3 weapons as long as it works well and is fun. It's rather useless to get too worked up about it now; save it for beta.

Too late though. They already changed the system, and it isn't going back. In this new territory, you can't argue with an appeal to history (it worked in the past!), because everything else is now DIFFERENT. Instead, you must argue you like the versatility, to which many have responded, the medium will have that versatility!

The entire point is to make the super-agile super-light pay for being super-agile.

To say, "It weren't broke, don't fix it!" doesn't work anymore. Because they already fixed it. Too late you are.

Wrong. Very wrong. They haven't said anything definitive on this subject. They've told us straight up that this hasn't been decided, though both 2 weapon and 3 weapon loadouts are being considered for the final product.

Having a super light with 2 weapons would make the class obselete, except on those big maps with super fast cap routes. Defense will opt for the normal light class and the extra weapons/health. Light offense will likewise prefer the extra weapons/health. I don't see this super light class being useful unless it has some exclusive weapon or something that comes with using it.

i think if the speed of the light is a significant amount faster than the medium, then i think it will be more than useful, imagine a light capper being chased by mediums who can't catch up to him... making your LD completely useless, and your only D the sniper, supposing you have one..

i dunno.. there are other scenarios i guess, but i don't think the t:v light will be at all obsolete if they give it the right speed advantage over the medium.

I like the idea, it'll add more variety to styles of play.. (Plus you can always scavenge and swap weapons)
