i) mini-compass (using the "Low-Res" compass designed for Software Mode)

ii) recordDemo stopping/starting in-game (somehow hook an "End Demo" call which allows you to stop/start demos on the fly, requiring a brain i don't have)

iii) vertical health bars

iv) adding 'run external program' functionality bound to specific keys in-game (i originally just used the notepad() function to open crap)

v) figure out how to reproduce the "1mb of crap" that adds itself onto the end of palettes. used for things like command-map, and software mode rendering

vi) tribestray (project av0n was working on, that he pry still has the src to)

vii) fix tribes' "LSMapper", the original un-finished external terrain editor, don't know enough about it to give an in-depth description

viii) "proper" trans-chat, the palette hack i discovered is just a cheap hack for 5-line transparent chathuds. which just replaces the color inside the palette, instead of via the executable

ix) new-new-interface (something spy and i worked on for a while, and eventually ran out of spare time when both of us got jobs)

speaking of the external program thingy, laviak (you might know him rand :p ) has made an external program which runs with tribes and allows you to bind BOTH directions of the mousewheel :)
