Single-player vs Multi-playerThrax Panda 11-10-2003, 11:45 AM I'm posting this just for public information. This is a public service poll. Ixiterra 11-10-2003, 11:50 AM I'm definitely excited to see what this team is going to do with the SP. I might not play it right away, but it will definitely be on my list. ;) g0ds gReeN 11-10-2003, 11:54 AM I'm definitely excited to see what this team is going to do with the SP. I might not play it right away, but it will definitely be on my list. ;) my sentiments exactly Amadeus 11-10-2003, 11:56 AM Both. Duh... Falhawk 11-10-2003, 11:59 AM MP far more than SP, but I hope SP will be cool too. I'd just hate to think that MP gets skimped on because of SP. Ixiterra 11-10-2003, 12:08 PM I'd just hate to think that MP gets skimped on because of SP. They have not said a million times that the teams are separate. Sir Lucius 11-10-2003, 12:11 PM separate but equal Amadeus 11-10-2003, 12:23 PM They have not said a million times that the teams are separate. True, but you can't play SP and MP at the same time. Falhawk 11-10-2003, 12:26 PM They have not said a million times that the teams are separate. I realize this. But I also realize that if they did want to put things in MP that they'd have to put it in SP as well, could be double the work (yes with twice as many people, but that doesn't always matter). Skibbi9 11-10-2003, 12:35 PM 80% multi, 20% Single. Sure i wanna play single, but not for 3+ straight years. Flatscan 11-10-2003, 12:35 PM My sense is that if its there, people will at least try it. I will try it and maybe even finish it. While I doubt SP will be the motivating "buy" factor for most of the competitive community, SP will be awesome for growing the community. It will absolutely make it easier for the new player to come up the skill curve in a relatively pain-free manner. Sir Lucius 11-10-2003, 12:39 PM I think the SP will be a bigger selling point than MP Yogi 11-10-2003, 12:43 PM I'm definitely excited to see what this team is going to do with the SP. I might not play it right away, but it will definitely be on my list. ;) Me too. Although after watching the prototype that Irrational made at UVA, I was so drawn into what little of the story they told, I wanted to know what happened next. And I want to know now damnit! nolt 11-10-2003, 12:51 PM bot sex P Masta Flex 11-10-2003, 12:55 PM sometimes i lack interweb nSpectre 11-10-2003, 01:25 PM I am a greedy selfish bastard, so I voted for both. NoGodForMe 11-10-2003, 01:55 PM MP. The SP game lasts for 1 weekend, then it's on to MP. If it's fun, it moves up the gamespy chart. If not, then people go back to what they we're playing. Case in point, Halo. SP was fun for 2 days. MP was boring without a jet pack, so I'm back to T2. LouCypher 11-10-2003, 02:11 PM My cat's name is Mr. Wiggles. Nelps45 11-10-2003, 02:24 PM Multiplayer is what will make T:V well known. Rilke 11-10-2003, 02:26 PM Who is the single asshole who just wants to play SP? | ||
