Having too much stuff on the ground will make skiing more difficult.

Yes, all grass is going to appear similar to that.

...........

I'm assuming the grass will graphically reciprocate that of UT2k3's. If you've played UT2k3, some of the terrain featured in the maps appear beautifully, some of the terrain is hideous. Naturally. At any rate, it improves FPS in ut2k3 drastically upon disabling the brush/grass/weed features.

We are now... no longer the Knights Who Say 'Ni'.

We are now the Knights Who Say 'Ecky- ecky- ecky- ecky- pikang- zoop- boing- goodem- zoo- owli- zhiv'.

Ah google. I never remember what it is they say there. But yeah, the plants in that SS are actually pretty ugly. They're among the first decolayers we created. Hopefully they'll be prettier by release,
KP

They won't be solid.

but they will lag some people to the point where skiing isnt as smooth as it should be.

since it doesnt effect gameplay ill prob just turn down settings so i dont have to bother with the potential lag increase.

Actually, it is all based on texture & lighting. It has very minimal impact on fps if your card supports T&L.

I was actually thinking about hiding parts of the terrain.
IE, there's a bump/dip but you can't really see it.

I think T&L stands for transform and lighting

The shrubs in that ss wouldn't look so bad if it wasn't 50 of the same exact shrub.

I think you're correct. I apologize.

Having too much stuff on the ground will make skiing more difficult. No worries. You go right past/over/thru the really small stuff like that, and this: http://www.tribalwar.com/media/viewer.php?id=67
