That makes sense -- having grass clippings would result in way too much shearing

You go right past/over/thru the really small stuff like that, and this: http://www.tribalwar.com/media/viewer.php?id=67 i like how those plants seem to grow out of what looks like solid rock GIMPbeowulf 11-04-2003, 09:10 PM Those grasses look like they'd be alright just 6 inches farther down. Thrax Panda 11-05-2003, 01:10 AM i like how those plants seem to grow out of what looks like solid rockI like how I could send you a $5 bill and you'd bitch that it wasn't a $20. Yes, because no one else cares to stare at man-ass. slogg 11-05-2003, 03:09 AM I like how I could send you a $5 bill and you'd bitch that it wasn't a $20. I sure do like those new 20's (the grass in that pic is a ton TON better than that random tumble weed spam) Darkfire 11-05-2003, 08:26 AM I like how I could send you a $5 bill and you'd bitch that it wasn't a $20. lol Virtus 11-05-2003, 05:06 PM So... grass on = pretty picure + hidden mines, sensors, turrets, etc.. Gee, I wonder if I will turn it on... alingis 11-05-2003, 05:13 PM I like how I could send you a $5 bill and you'd bitch that it wasn't a $20. Feel free to run this experiment on me anytime Sir Lucius 11-05-2003, 05:22 PM So... grass on = pretty picure + hidden mines, sensors, turrets, etc.. Gee, I wonder if I will turn it on... You won't be able to turn it OFF! p0w! Defaced 11-05-2003, 05:53 PM Oh, can I remove the mass of the trees as well, so I don't get fucking treed all the time? And the solidity wasn't my problem Thrax, we already got over that. Timalis_ 11-05-2003, 06:01 PM Yeah.. I can see someone ski'ing along with tree "off" then stop in mid air as he slams into one cause he can't see one, but the mass of it is still there... :blueblob: Virtus 11-05-2003, 06:35 PM You won't be able to turn it OFF! p0w!I haven't played UT2k3 for quite a while, but I seem to recall being able to turn off the grass, or at least thin it out quite a bit. Seems to me that the devs would allow the grass to be adjusted for older/slower systems. Unfortunately that could unbalance T:V a bit. Sir Lucius 11-05-2003, 06:58 PM Well you brought up a good point of mining grass. No one ever really mines ski routes too much, but in T:V I beleive the terrain texteture is going to display some newbie routes to take. And it'd be much better to hide deployables, turrets for example, in obtrusive grass. I'm sure you'll be able to turn the grass off. You do have a point with about the grass obscuring mines, though. Maybe they can make the mines big enough so you can see them easily through the grass or something . slogg 11-05-2003, 09:00 PM He's talking at his ass and trying to be funny (and he was). Thanks for clearing that up. | ||
