TV-Out - Desktop Mirroring

What's the best way to display my desktop on my TV with a radeon 9600 128mb, tv-out.

I've got it working using Ultramon but it doesn't support a ton of 3d applications, dvd, stuff like that. I primarily want to play movies and play my SNES games (legitimate of course) on it.

I tried tried and tried again to get desktop mirroring working without using Ultramon but the best i could do was get it to act as a secondary monitor.

ok i havent played with ati dual-view yet... but isnt there something in the catalyst drivers that allow u to do it.

In my tinkering with new drivers it does have the option to mirror... But when i press it i get an error that says the following

big file, it capped both screens.

hmmm
i wish i could grab a tv and see if i could do it.

the big thing that im thinkin about is the resolution on a tv is locked to 640x480 i think or something similar.

800x600 and i think 1 step up sometimes as well.
