in my book thats quite hot... of course i think anything over 45 degrees to be pushing ityou're fine up to about 60 with an XP proc.

hell, my XP ran 50-60 stock w/ retail fan

you're technically fine up till about 85-95C (depending on which core he has) but the problem with that is that those temperatures refer to the CORE reading.

almost all motherboards utilize a socket sensor which is located on the bottom side of the chip, which means the reading is off (lower) by a significant amount. not to mention that if the socket sensor is not properly making contact with the cheap, then you're actually measuring the air temperature of the area under the socket.

this can lead to a huge discrepency in temperature readings.
