fedex 10-05-2003, 07:00 PM I stopped reading when this became the Mav show.
Only mav would derail a thread about Lady Of Darkness to be about himself.
FOURSTAR 10-05-2003, 07:01 PM actually i went to usf. but thanks for playing.
and lol i wasn't even bashing where you went, i could care less
fmu is shit, everyone knows this, its a school for people who slacked off in hs and realized that mickyd's isn't so great anymore, so they work part time and go here so they can be a secretary at some office
JuggerNaught 10-05-2003, 07:02 PM agreed. which is why the person, chooses the school.
do you think that if you have a choice between going to school A, or school B that school A is going to have a different answer for what 2+2 is than school B will?

Yeah, where are our naked Mav pics, hmm?
FOURSTAR 10-05-2003, 07:03 PM no, but id rather go to a school where the teacher / student ratio is around 1/8 unlike a university where its 1/100 or more

the same could be said for st. pete jr. college, ucf or just about any school. only when you get to ivy league schools does the name of teh school on your piece of paper possibly help you get a job before your actual knowledge will
JuggerNaught 10-05-2003, 07:04 PM Yeah, where are our naked Mav pics, hmm?

FOURSTAR 10-05-2003, 07:07 PM im sure you would agree that the experience is also worth a lot. spc (its not a jc anymore 4year) is basically highschool except you are paying for it
ivy > private > university > spc (jc's) > fmu and tech schools itt tech w/e
fedex 10-05-2003, 07:08 PM im sure you would agree that the experience is also worth a lot. spc (its not a jc anymore 4year) is basically highschool except you are paying for it
ivy > private > university > spc (jc's) > fmu and tech schools itt tech w/e
it all doesn't matter, no matter where you go you're not gonna get a job right now.
And it ALL really doesn't matter, it's usually who you know. Otherwise you're working your way from the bottom just like every other college grad.
people who think their school defines them are dumb. You are your work ethic, not where you went.
ivy > private > university > spc (jc's) > fmu and tech schools itt tech w/e
actually, there are many public universities ranked well above private ones
do you think that if you have a choice between going to school A, or school B that school A is going to have a different answer for what 2+2 is than school B will?
its not the outcome of the answer, its how you arrive at it
if it takes me 5 years to learn what I want to learn, plus a ton of shit i dont want, plus paying more, at school A
and it takes 1 year, alot less money and learning just what i want at school B
I'll take school B
FOURSTAR 10-05-2003, 07:10 PM actually, there are many public universities ranked well above private ones
thats just my personal opinion on the matter
flagler is a great school and i can't wait to go there
Diablo Escobar 10-05-2003, 07:11 PM i can't beleive you people are suggesting that where you go to school doesn't matter
Alumni networks and school reputations DO matter. If you're a dumbfuck, you're still going to be a dumbfuck, but if you come from a better school, one that the employer has a good track record with, then you're going to be hired.
Fuck, i go to BC, and we've got a HUGE alumni network, many of whom try to hire other BC grads. You're telling me that doesn't fucking matter? You're out of your tree.
PsioniX 10-05-2003, 07:12 PM actually, there are many public universities ranked well above private ones
University of California anyone
collectivley one of the top ranked schools in the world
thx
Yeah, where are our naked Mav pics, hmm?
lets not go there
gofishgrrl. 10-05-2003, 07:16 PM lets not go there
Aww, why not? :(

seriously....if you think that going to something like fsu gives you any more of a chance at being successful than going to a community college, then you're one of the people who NEED a piece of paper that shows they have an education so they can take thier place in the ranks of drones that get up at 6:45 in the morning everyday, kiss thier 2.5 children before they leave, hop in the suv and head off to work after stopping at starbucks.
I have met and know many people that have impressive looking degrees from serious colleges that are fucking morons, because they didnt care about educating themselves...they cared about getting a paper from an educational institution and there are people in places like itt tech that know way more than those state educated morons because they actually cared about themselves getting education, and didnt stop feeding thier mind when the teacher released the class
