Shinigami 09-15-2003, 06:40 PM And what do you mean by "base" weapon skins? ragingbunny 09-15-2003, 08:01 PM he means the default to work on them at least thats the only way i can interpret it. Gambitx11x 09-15-2003, 08:38 PM he means the default to work on them at least thats the only way i can interpret it. if thats the case, then you need tribestools (found on fsb-spy's site) and go to vol file extractor, select skins.vol in tribes\base folder and go pbmp to bmp and then voila u can open them in ur editing program, you just gotta find the names of the skins im to lazy to list em.. Minipete 09-15-2003, 09:44 PM t1...what other tribes is there...that is good... :P...yes, the disc laucher and stuff... vortex 09-16-2003, 03:08 AM Ok, you will need TribesTools which can be found on FSB-SPY's (http://www.team5150.com/~fsb-spy) site. Then you will need to run TribesTools and use the VOL file extractor tool, browse your way to your tribes\base folder and look inside entities.vol. This *.vol file contains disc.bmp(disc launcher), grenade.bmp(grenade launcher), sniper.bmp(laser rifle), energygun.bmp(blaster), mortargun.bmp(mortar), plasma.bmp(plasma), shotgun.bmp(ELF) and chaingun.bmp(chaingun). Remember, to edit these files, you will need to tick the PBMP -> BMP checkbox. After skinning the weapons if thats what you're going to do, you need to apply a palette with PaintShopPro and run Makeskin+ in TribesTools. When using makeskin, select the palette you applied in PaintShopPro and don't change the Advanced Options. Minipete 09-16-2003, 04:43 PM thx dood! | ||
